Princeton, NJ— Internationally acclaimed pop opera nouveau classics artist, Rose Jang, will perform an evening of classical arias, popular selections from musicals, and Christmas carols in her holiday concert on December 21st, 7:30 pm at the Richardson Auditorium, Princeton University.

Rose Jang will return to her hometown in Princeton, NJ for this special concert event. She was born and raised in Princeton, NJ, and has many personal connections to the area. Her father received his PhD from Princeton University, and the church she attends, Princeton Korean Church, is also located right here in Princeton. Her love for her hometown made Princeton a perfect choice for showcasing her holiday concert.

Growing up in Princeton, Jang expresses that she has many memories here and she wants her audience to have an opportunity to make their own wonderful memories to cherish as well. ‘I know there are many international students like my father forty years ago, who attend Princeton University and the neighboring colleges who are in their dorms or apartments wanting to go home to their families, but cannot. I want them (free tickets) to be able to come to my concert and enjoy an evening of good music and feel the holiday spirit. I feel very blessed to have this opportunity to entertain people like lonely foreign students and seniors (also free tickets) in nursing homes who are away from their families and to preach the Gospel through Christmas songs,’ says Jang.

As an internationally acclaimed pop opera artist, Rose reached a record breaking number one on numerous music charts including her rendition of the song “Memory” from “Cats,” topping versions by both Celine Dion and Barbara Streisand. She has won a number of awards for her accomplishments in music including the award for Outstanding Vocalist in the Classical category at the South Korean Entertainment Awards. Rose has performed in numerous concerts and most recently sang the national anthem for the 2010 Formula 1 Grand Prix, and performed during the 2010 South Africa World Cup in Johannesburg. Known for her beautiful and angelic voice, Rose is also known for her physical beauty and in 2009, was chosen to be a spokes-model for LANCOME cosmetics.
